Grow Your Own 'Greenhouse'! |

Supplies:
Small container of soil (you can purchase at a home and garden center, or dig some up outside)
Very large glass jar
Empty baby food jars or film canisters (at least 3)
Seeds for small plant of your choice
Permanent marker
Hard plate
Water
Instructions:
1. Put a small amount of soil into the baby food jars or film canisters.
2. Using the plant seed of your choice (make sure it’s for a small plant!), use one finger to poke the seed to just inside of the soil, so that the seed is covered
3. Using your marker, write on each jar or canister what kind of plant you’re growing, and what date you planted it
4. Arrange all three small jars on your plate, give each plant just a little water, and then cover those small jars with the large one
5. Put your ‘greenhouse’ near a window where direct sunlight comes in. Monitor the growth daily, and make sure to water your plants when they get dry.
Kids Clubbers Tips:
-Once the plants get large enough, you may transfer them out of the jars and replant them outdoors.
-Plants make excellent gifts for Mothers & Fathers Day!
